Garland Canada Hosts the First Annual Iron Chef Accelerated Competition!

On March 2nd, 2008, Garland Canada awarded the Iron Chef Accelerated trophy to Jason Bangerter the winner of the first Iron Chef Accelerated competition.

Top Toronto chefs Jason Rosso and Jason Bangerter competed on a head-to-head basis using the Merrychef 402s and induction cookers from the Enodis line of Accelerated Cooking Technology products.  The two contestants were marked by an illustrious panel of international culinary judges. 

The objective of the competition was to demonstrate that excellent quality food can be produced in equipment that uses new innovations and technology to cook up to 15 times faster than traditional equipment.  The Accelerated Cooking Technology segment is positioned to help operators answer the industry’s most pressing challenges – energy costs, enhanced levels of productivity and efficiency, cost of capital and the availability of qualified culinary staff.
